Project Manager Job Description
The National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence, Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing agree to support the development of three gero-psychiatric nursing online learning tools that would include two modules for continuing education and one NEXus course for master’s, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Ph.D.-level students and practicing nurses.
Job Title: Geropsychiatric Nursing Initiative (GPNI) Project Manager
Position Reports To: NHCGNE, HIGN, AACN GPNI Work Group (Harden, Cortes and Stanley)
Responsible for GPNI projects & operations – 20% effort for 18 months. The preferred applicant shall hold at least a master’s degree in geropsychiatric nursing and have knowledge and some experience with (1) learning management systems such as Moodle, Blackboard Vista, Canvas, (2) online course development and instructional design including storyboarding, (3) use and placement of multimedia and embedded interactive learning elements, and other technologies to enhance learner engagement, (4) course presentation platforms, course deployment platforms, web programming; and (5) skill in contracting and vendor management to effectively guide sub-contractors in these areas.
