 NURSE PRACTITIONER  (March 2014)

Carol Woods is a nationally accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Chapel Hill, NC.  Carol Woods’ employees have been consistently recognized as role models for others working in long-term care and play a major role in achieving the organization’s mission to provide high quality services to older adults.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and acute healthcare to residents in the out-patient Clinic (Independent Living and Assisted Living) and Health Center (skilled nursing). This position will also participate in coordinating medical care, collaborate with the resident and interdisciplinary team to provide high quality resident-centered healthcare, provide formal and informal education to nursing staff, work with provider team to establish and update clinical protocols, serve as a member of the Infection Control Team, and maintain appropriate documentation.

Requirements:
Adult/Gerontological or Family Nurse Practitioner - GNP preferred or strong gerontological background.  MSN required.  Graduate of a professional school of nursing, holding a valid license as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.  Nurse practitioner education and approval for practice by the North Carolina Joint  Board of Nursing and Medicine; conforms to all requirements and maintains registration of approval to practice with the Boards of Nursing and Medical Examiners.

Part-Time: 24 hours/week, actual working hours negotiable
